Our algorithm evaluates health history, symptoms, MEC eligibility, and 250+ methods of birth control. It then compares each profile with thousands of pages of scientific research– all before the patient steps into the exam room.
See a detailed clinical report with MEC eligibility, health history, and symptoms/conditions before unlocking it for your patients. Patients are notified as soon as their reports are approved so they can review it and prepare any questions in advance.
You and the patient will see how each method could affect their worst symptoms and choose an option that works for their body and their preferences according to science.
We take into account the symptoms and conditions your patients are experiencing, past and present, to recommend methods that will work best according to science.

How does Tuune make its recommendations?
Our recommendation engine uses the information from 1000+ scientific papers and analyzes the impact that every single one of the 250+ birth control options has on the symptoms your patients tell us about in their Health Assessment. Our recommendation prioritizes their dealbreaker symptoms and preferred birth control methods while considering medical history, MEC, and risks.
Which birth control methods does Tuune recommend?
Hormonal contraceptives including the combined pill, progestogen-only pill, the patch, the ring, the implant, the injection, and intrauterine devices (IUD).
Reversible non-hormonal contraceptives: the copper IUD.
If appropriate, other methods such as Fertility Awareness Based (FAB) methods.
If your patients have a preference for a specific method (say, the pill), they can filter their recommendations by type of birth control.
How does Tuune’s recommendation improve the consultation process?
Our medical team – with over 75 years of combined experience – has built a tool that does exactly what you would do in your regular consultation, but we're able to go much more in-depth. We also ask about preferences, well-being factors, symptoms, contraceptive history, etc. Our Health Assessment takes on average 30 minutes, but patients with more symptoms or a longer history with contraception could spend even longer (progress can be saved to come back to it later). We're able to gather much more information during this time than is usually possible within a typical consultation before the patient steps into the waiting room, allowing you to spend more time making an informed decision together.
Who is Tuune sharing my patients’ data with?
We don't share your patients' data with any third parties. Information will only be shared with Tuune clinicians and scientists in order to provide your patients with information about their hormones, contraception options, and to improve our service for other users.
How much does Tuune cost?
Tuune is affordable for clinics of any size. Book a demo today to learn about pricing for your clinic.
How do I get my patients to use Tuune?
When you sign up with Tuune, our team creates a custom portal for your patients to complete their health assessment. When a patient books an appointment, you can share the URL and password via email, SMS or verbally on the phone. Once the patient begins their health assessment, they'll be able to save their progress and get email reminders from Tuune leading up to their appointment.
We’re on a mission to change the future of medicine and create healthcare that truly understands female hormones.
