How Tuune uses cookies

To make it quicker and easier for you to use our website, we use cookies to collect and remember information about you.
By continuing to use the website , you agree to our use of cookies. If you don‘t agree to our use of cookies but you still want to visit our website, you can manage your cookie preferences by visiting our cookie settings. Alternatively, you can turn off the cookies in your browser settings or contact us at help@tuune.com.

What are cookies

Cookies are small data files that are sent to your internet browser, and these are read by small blocks of code called pixel tags.
We use cookies to collect information about how our website is used so that we can provide you with our services and improve your user experience. This information is completely anonymous. It includes things like the number of visitors to our website, how they arrive at the site and which pages they visit.
Some cookies will expire at the end of your session and most within a month. A few will remain on your computer for longer. The length of time a cookie will stay on your browsing device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies will only stay on your device until you stop browsing. Persistent cookies stay on your browsing device until they expire or are deleted (i.e. after you have finished browsing). The expiration time or retention period applicable to persistent cookies depends on the purpose of the cookie collection and tool used. You may be able to delete cookie data as described below.
In addition to cookies, we may use other technologies that are similar to cookies, like web beacons, flash cookies, or pixels to track how you use our Services.
  • Web Beacons: Web beacons, or “clear gifs”, are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. Web beacons are placed on a website or in an email that alone or in conjunction with cookies compile information about your usage of or your interaction with the Services. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive or device, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages. Similar to cookies, beacons primarily help us better manage content on our Services by informing us which content is effective.

Tuune may collect information about whether you open or click any links in the Services, Research or marketing communications that we send to you through web beacons. The analysis gathered helps us improve the effectiveness of content and format of our websites and email communications.
  • Flash Cookies: We may also use so-called “flash cookies” (also known as “Local Shared Objects” or “LSOs”) to collect and store information about your use of our Services. Flash cookies are commonly used for advertisements and videos.
  • Pixels: A “pixel” or “tag” can be placed on a website or within an email for the purposes of tracking your interactions with our websites or when emails are opened or accessed; pixels are often used in combination with cookies.
You can always manage your cookie preferences by visiting our cookie settings page.
Most internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can delete existing cookies from your browser and choose not to receive cookies in future. You just need to edit your browser options.
Please note that, if you reject cookies, any personalized functionality of Tuune website will not fully work.
To find out how to delete or control the cookies stored on your computer, visit www.aboutcookies.org
To find out how to control your online behavioural advertising preferences, visit www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices
Cookies that are placed on your device by a third party usually can be managed through your browser (as described above) or by checking the third party’s website for more information about cookie management and how to “opt-out” of receiving cookies from them. We do not have the ability to manage or delete cookies or tracking technologies placed on your device by third parties as these are outside of our control.
