With your consent, Tuune will use:
- your personal information, including personal health information, for research purposes; and
- your personal contact information to contact you about participating in research studies.
This consent for research is entirely voluntary and does not impact your use of Tuune in any way.
Tuune research may be sponsored by, conducted on behalf of, or in collaboration with strategic research partners, such as non-profit foundations and academic institutions.
You can withdraw your consent to be contacted about research or for Tuune to use your personal information for research at any time by contacting us at
help@tuune.com . Note that Tuune will still use your personal information to create anonymous user data for our own purposes and research purposes after you have withdrawn this consent. Please contact us if you would like more information.
If you have already joined a research study run by a third party, that third party will be able to provide you with information about how to withdraw from the study. Tuune’s Privacy Notice and Terms of Use do not apply to third parties and their practices.
When you sign up for Tuune, the consent you give allows us to use a set of rules to review your personal information and analyze the personal information you have provided. This set of rules, the algorithm we have developed and own, then matches you with the right medication based on their side effect profile and medical history.
You decide how much personal information to give to Tuune. When you provide more information, you will receive better recommendations in reports from Tuune.
Our website and services are not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected any personal information in violation of applicable law, we will promptly take steps to delete such information.
We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Any personal information you have provided will, where it is relevant to any part of our business that is being transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or controlling party will be permitted to use your personal information - but only for the same purposes for which it was originally collected by us.
In the event any of your personal information is to be transferred in this way, you will be contacted in advance and informed of the changes.
Tuune may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post any changes to this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including email notification if appropriate).
